Makers of Meaning

Makers of Meaning explores the history and tradition of storytelling through practice and play, culminating in a sharing of illustrated, printed, and performed work decided upon by project participants.

In July 2026, Mimetolith delivered their pilot project Makers of Meaning at HMP & YOI Stirling. Over five days, incarcerated learners worked both independently and collaboratively to create a series of artworks, puppets, and stories reflecting their creative identities and explored a variety of theatre and cartooning exercises.
